For those who use private door-to-door school transportation, how much does it cost, and what was the process to set it

I’m looking to send my kid to a Catholic high school this year, but it’s 13 miles away. So, I’m considering a door-to-door van service. I’d like to get a sense of the general costs before I take the plunge, as well as understand what the process typically involves. Thanks in advance!

Tell your kid to take public transit

13 miles away in less the school offers it could be $40-60 per way as thats a far trip. Is that a good idea when they will have weekend/evening things at school

First check if the school has buses or if public transportation is an option. If not, pick a school where you can manage the commute.

Good Counsel, SJC have bus routes. Saint Anselm’s, Gonzaga use metro.

St. Anselm's is kind of a hike to Metro. But they do have shuttles.

A lot of the NOVA Gonzaga boys use the VRE. Plus it’s free.

Where can you pick up the VRE? Is there a stop in Arlington?

I looked at busses I didn’t like how early it stopped that’s why I’m looking at door to door.
