The humidity, the constant storms, the bugs, the heat, the sogginess. I hate it all. |
Buckle up it's not going to get better. |
Me too |
Agreed. I grew up in the West where summer was hot but usually nice. This is getting miserable. |
OP was probably complaining about being tired of winter a few months ago. ![]() |
Nope! I love a cold sunny day. Even a good snowfall. I'd prefer some 45-65 temps but I'll happily take a polar vortex over this swamp. All day, every day. |
I used to be one of the annual summer complainers here. Finally moved from DC and I couldn’t be happier. Don’t let anyone tell you weather is a bad reason to move!!! |
This summer hasn’t been that bad.
I mean, aren’t you mostly in AC? My office is freezing. Yes, the car is hot in a parking lot but a windshield shade takes care of that. And I love the longer days. Though I hate the mosquitos but they don’t go away till the winter anyway. |
I have barefaced hornet nest on a tree at the far-end of my yard. My yard is devoid of any midges, chiggers, mosquitos. |
I hate the mugginess. I walk the dog from 0630-0730 and I’m swatting bugs away, swatting cob webs and sweaty and hot. I’m ready for fall. |
I feel like the obvious interpretation is that it's bad for those of us who like be outside. Or commute via bike or metro. Or even work outside. I will complain about winter while I'm at it, though. I grew up with real, grim, gray dirty ice for months winter. I don't miss regularly shoveling out a driveway, and sure, everyone loves a cold, clear, sunny day. But winter here is months of 40 degree rain, interspersed with weirdly warm days. It's even worse! |
We are closing on a property in
Århus this week. |
Same OP! I want to move somewhere cooler. I'm done. |
I just posted about wanting to move! Where did you move to? |
"This summer hasn’t been that bad." Absolute and utter lie. |
