How many people here who have strong feelings about Mamdani actually live in NYC?

I live in NYC and I voted for him and will happily vote for him again in November. But it seems to me that he's getting so much national attention that it's hard to discern which posters will actually be impacted by NYC's next Mayoral election. Fess up. Because if you don't live in NYC, why are you so bothered?

Because what he represents is a threat to Israel and its supporters throughout the country.

We live in America. This is a NYC election. How could he possibly be a threat to Israel?

Oh please he’s not a threat to Israel. He has a municipal position-Israel gets hundreds of billions of our federal tax dollars each year.

You are using the fact that he’s a Muslim born in Africa with a Hindu mother to fear monger. The bigger anti Semite is Donald Trump who says there are fine people at white supremacist Christian nationalist rallies who believe there’s only one true faith

Most of the angriest people would hide under their bed at the thought of visiting a city.

I lived, worked, and voted in NYC for close to 15 years. I continue to have strong feelings about the place that was once my home. I also recognize that many people who are big fish in the NYC pond often seek out even bigger ponds in the future, so it pays to pay attention.

I had extremely strong feelings about Giuliani, and even stronger feelings about Trump — all based on what I learned about them when I was a NYC resident. It’s unfortunate that instead of paying attention to the very real concerns that people with direct knowledge of the characters and behaviors of people like Trump and Giuliani had when they sought national offices — many voters relied instead on stuff like The Apprentice.

Is this supposed to be an attack on him?

Well, Trump lives in DC and Florida, and he’s about ready to cut you guys off because of Mamdani.

I think most of us know that Trump isn’t very smart, so whatever.

Two questions: what has Mamdani actually said (meaning not stuff your aunt told you she heard he said) that makes you thikn he's a fundamentalist Muslim? and what in our Constitution is incompatible with Islam as opposed to Judaism?

Literally don't know anyone here in NYC who is quivering in their boots that Trump is going to unleash a temper tantrum here.

Our Constitution is also wholly incompatible with Judaism and its holy texts. Were you aware of that fact?
