So, Julie Yang is running for county council, rather than running for reelection to the BOE. That means her District 3 board seat will be open. Anyone from the Bethesda, Chevy Chase, or Potomac area thinking about running for the seat? |
False It is only open if she wins. If she loses, she stays at BOE. |
No, her board term ends in December 2026. She is running for county council instead of for a second term on the BOE. |
If she loses in primary she can still be on ballot in fall. |
That will be a huge loss. Julie is the only good member of the BOE. |
Not if she isn't running in the board primary in the spring. |
Yeah not sure why we keep electing others who are useless and just rubber stamp everything MCPS does |
The fact that she's the best on the BOE says a lot about the BOE. I think Julie is going to have a hard time winning her council seat. |
I do not think so. BOE still has primary and if she does not file to run for her BOE seat she will be out in Nov.
|
So this gig was just a stepping stone for her, huh? |
Pretty much. |
Julie was as much of a problem as the rest of them. All of them need to go. Even if she was "good" she didn't stand up and always voted to agree with the majority vs. doing the right thing. No thanks to either position. Gladly will vote her out. |
Those going in want to make changes little do they realize what happens when they are in, whether it's as a staff or a member of the BOE. #shutupandkeepimage |
When has Julie Yang voted against something MCPS proposed? |
I wonder if Brenda Wolff, Karla Silvestre, and Grace Rivera-Oven will run for reelection. |
