Is it true that Gen Z is completley trying to avoid joining war and share some experience of your Gen Z children and thoughts on a full scale war in the USA if it were to happen |
Do you blame them? What a mess.
|
I thought President Bone Spurs was bragging about record enlistment numbers. |
Isn't everyone trying to avoid "joining war"? |
Gen Z is not ready, and probably never will be ready to step up and keep the world going. They are for the most part a lost generation. Expect most of them to be conveyances when their parents sell their homes. |
Gen X was the last American generation. |
Anti-war stance of Trumpo is why he is favored among Gen Z males. I mean it makes sense. Who wants to go die or be injured in some corporate run government-political BS war in this day and age? It's not the 1940s anymore. |
Even if a Gen Z guy is consuming a lot of Special Operations content, he's getting a different message than 10 years ago: the Shawn Ryans, John McPhees, etc. of the world (former SEALs, CIA, Delta Force guys, etc.) are admitting that these wars are scams. All wars are bankers wars. All you gotta do is look at the current condition of Afghanistan and Iraq to know. None of that is worth having your legs blown off.
But if you have ADHD, are super-competitive, and are maybe prone to violence, then yeah, sign up. How else are you gonna scratch that itch. |
I don’t understand this trhread. What war? No one ever wants to go to war. There were draft riots for the civil war and people moved to Canada to avoid Vietnam. WW2 was the only war people really signed up for voluntarily. |
Many people tried to get out of WWII. The US was not wanting to get involved in another World War and sentiment was strongly and vastly against getting involved. Which is why FDR/USGOV allowed Pearl Harbor attack to happen, to sway public sentiment into getting involved. Even then, despite the news propaganda, most people didn't want to enlist. Vast majority of soldiers in WWII were drafted. American Revolution saw the highest enlistment voluntarily, but it was still only about 50% support, but that was substantially higher than any other war the US got involved in. 1812 and Spanish American war also had similar high enlistment rates. |
They are watching people being dismantled and burned alive by drones every day.
This is the first time in history kids are exposed to this level of visceral violence in real life and war crimes. Imagine sending your kids to be mortally wounded, bleeding and begging for death, and then have the videos posted on Reddit. |
Deporting the immigrants doesn’t help either. Immigrants tend to be very patriotic and often sign up for the military in high percentages than native born.
My immigrant great uncles (5 of them) all signed up for WW2 — fought at battle of the bulge and other major battles. I’ve always been amazed we don’t give immediate citizenship to anyone who enlists. |
Why on earth would you expect anyone to be pro war. It's the politicians of both parties who are rabid to drop bombs on other countries.
