What’s the Senate been saying!
I know a lot of discussion is surrounding Medicaid and other items. Haven’t seen the latest on GradPLUS. |
I don’t know. Also trying to follow as I think this affects ParentPlus loans too. |
PP here.
DD plans on going to med school next Fall. Med schools aren’t going to lower tuition. Need at least a higher cap ($350k-$400k). This is crazy. |
Unless something has changed they are removing GradPlus loans entirely. |
Still out and not coming back. |
Do you mean they’ve removed that provision in the Senate version of the BBB? |
Here’s the latest:

Thanks PP!
It seems no one cares on this College/Uni message board. Seems professional students/families have millions of $$$ laying around. I’ll go post on the Money/Finances message board. |
In September 2026, all these mf'ers will be caring |
It’ll be too late by then! |
I applaud this - it will force grad schools to have to reduce their costs. Parent PLUS loans are so predatory too. I’ve met many millennials with huge loans from places like Columbia Social Work or Georgetown Public Policy who could have just gone to Maryland and saved so much money. |
Less doctors to serve rural West Virginia and enough doctors in NYC, L.A., DMV. Yes, elections have consequences (especially for the suckers and losers who voted for Trump). |
Killing Grad Plus effectively kills Public Service Loan Forgiveness as well. |
I know plenty of parents in Bethesda who have taken parentplus loans for “cash flow” reasons. They’ll have to take out private loans now I guess. |
Yep - look at this graphic about half way down about the BBB.
