I’m 5’2 and 110 lbs. But after having twins via c-section (in 2019!), my torso/belly are an embarrassment and I have zero confidence. My husband really does not want me to have unnecessary plastic surgery. Any other tricks to fix the post-c-section pooch/fupa? And if surgery is the only way to go, any recs for the least invasive methods? |
I got a tummy tuck. I was at the same height and weight and no amount of exercise helped. No regrets. |
I sadly cannot help you but for anyone reading, wear an abdominal binder after a c section. They really should send you home with one. I wore it 24 hours a day after both of mine and when the doctor saw it she said "yes, those seem to work well." Then why don't they tell you to wear it???
No pooch. |
You need a tuck. The recovery is as painful as the c section. |
Scar tissue massage, core strengthening, maybe lose 5 pounds, work on posture, yoga/pilates. Consult with a surgeon to see if a scar revision could help the appearance before you go for the full tuck. It's your body, but you have your children's welfare to consider when thinking about major cosmetic surgery. |
Please start by using Every Mother workout plan. It is basically a repetitive breathing exercise that has been proven to help the pooch. Once you reach max benefit of that, then consider whether a tuck will help. |
I had 3 c-sections and a tuck. The tuck recovery was so much worse. But it was also so, so worth it. I had done all the diastasis exercises and my abs weren't really that bad (though I had a tiny hernia). It was the loose skin that made me look fat. The surgeon removed a truly disturbing amount. OP I didn't want the surgery at first, but I'm so glad I did it. |
Yes. I had one as well. |
