University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Big advantage is it's right near Lockheed Martin with high paying internships after Sophomore year. 15-20 hrs during class semesters, up to 40 hrs during summer.

If they get good grades and do decent work as an intern, they can walk into a a career job.

UCF is also near a research park with many computer and defense related sub-contractors, so internships are available there too.

Of course it's Florida, with it's 6 week abortion law (which is really 4 weeks). This is mainly a danger for miscarriage treatment. Have a plan to head to VA for women's reproductive healthcare. As of now, all birth control is still legal.

Kettering University. It’s in Michigan and is a co-op school. Students alternate between 3 months school, 3 months working full internships. They partner with big name companies that have headquarters in Michigan: GM, Ford, Stryker, Pfizer, Zoetis, Whirlpool. Many great companies for engineering internships in Michigan

U Del is actually really strong in Chemical Engineering due to its location near DuPont.

My son is at RPI (doing Aerospace Engineering) and has been impressed with the depth of the instruction. They give excellent merit. CU Boulder is also great for Aerospace.

Clarkson is kind of a hidden gem if looking for a high acceptance rate program, but it’s in the middle of nowhere. Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken is strong, fabulous location.
