Trump admits migrant crackdown hurts farmers, hospitality workers, says change is coming

Now Trump says it is unfair to target immigrants farmer worker because it hurt wealthy maga farmers. The same for hotel industry including golf courses. So he thinks removing those migrants should stop. If only he could convince the people doing this to stop! Deep state in action.

President Donald Trump admitted that his increasingly aggressive immigration crackdown is hurting farmers and the hotel and leisure industry and said "common sense" changes are coming.

The president's comments drew praise from Arizona agriculture and hospitality leaders, who have long complained about chronic labor shortages and the need for Congress to pass immigration reforms that would allow more immigrants to enter the country legally, rather than illegally, to fill jobs many Americans are unwilling to do.

Trump posted on Truth Social on June 12 that farmers and people in the hospitality and leisure industries have said that "our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace."

Trump said during a news conference later in the day that an order is coming that would help farmers and the hotel and leisure industry hold onto their workers, without providing specifics.

"We're going to have an order on that pretty soon I think we can't do that to our farmers and leisure too hotels. We're gonna have to use a lot of common sense on that," Trump said.

Trump isn’t in charge because raids on farms continue.

So farms and "leisure" hotels, but not meatpacking, chicken processing, roofing and other contractors, commercial cleaners, factory workers?

Well he is not going to stop raids in blue states. Red states are now sanctuary states specially if you are a farmer or work in hospitality. lol!

Yes to meat packing. Here’s language from the ICE memo:

“Effective today, please hold on all work site enforcement investigations/operations on agriculture (including aquaculture and meat packing plants), restaurants and operating hotels,” he wrote in the message.

The email explained that investigations involving “human trafficking, money laundering, drug smuggling into these industries are OK.” But it said — crucially — that agents were not to make arrests of “noncriminal collaterals,” a reference to people who are undocumented but who are not known to have committed any crime.”

Poor ICE agents are confused, having been recently told by Stephen miller that they must meet a daily quota of 3000 arrests a day.

One Department of Homeland Security official with knowledge of the email said that agents had felt the pressure for more arrests and that the guidance took them by surprise. Agents were still digesting the long-term implications without a direct signal from the White House about how to carry out the new guidance, the official said.

Mr. King seemed to acknowledge that the new guidance would hurt the quest for higher numbers of arrests.

“We acknowledge that by taking this off the table, that we are eliminating a significant # of potential targets,” he wrote.

If ICE hadn't had the 3000/day quota, the mess in LA never would have happened.

YUP. Miller was screaming at them asking why they weren’t in Home Depot and 7-11 parking lots.

Seems like this will create sanctuary states.

What is crazy is that all this was totally predictable. People have been warning forever that deporting immigrants would hurt farmers, hotels. Etc.

The incompetence is astounding. The chaos.

I'm here in Ventura County. It's mayhem! They are everywhere. The car washes and fast food places are shutting down, the mom's group on FB is just posts where to avoid them and where they are spotted. Is it just like this here? Everything is upside down.

My mom who has been here since 1965 and is Hispanic tells me it's the same over there as it was in DC when she was here. The streets were clear of immigrants but she didn't care if they picked her up. But The immigrants back then weren't as high of a number as they are now now it's just way way way way too much
