When was the last time you went a full 24 hours without going online (don't count vacation)?
I think for me, it was 2002. |
| When I read the title of this post, I was gonna say yes, but then I read "don't count vacation." Damn. The answer is no. |
| Sign up with Comcast and you'll find out real soon how long you can go without the internet. |
| I don't think I could. I really think I'm addicted to the internet, and to my iPhone. I want to do a 5 day No Internet, No iPhone (except for calls) challenge, but I just don't think I can... |
lol. |
You can always go to the library and wait in a 2 hour long queue. |
| How about just an hour without (!) ... Ah, the Net age |
| OK, I'll try it and write back to tell you how it went.... |
|
....whoa, that was TOUGH! Don't try it, it's total hell. Any longer and my facebook friends would have filed a missing persons report.
Wait, how long was I gone? |
| I do it all the time. I think to prove to myself that I don't have a problem. |
| When a hurricane went through here about 5-6 years ago, the power stayed out for almost a week. I suffered major internet withdrawal. My neighbors got a generator after a few days and gave me an extension cord. I plugged in the refrigerator and computer. Ahhhh . . . |
|
I once left my blackberry at the office and the internet wasn't working when I got home.
I remember feeling nauseous. I kept walking from room to room, forgetting what I was trying to do. I think I also had diarrhea. |
| On the rare day that I have gone without it, I am soooooo much more productive. The internet is a total time drain for this SAHM, but I am addicted nonetheless.. |
| Kind of makes you wonder why all those folks who lost power during the summer storms didn't commit suicide-not only no internet, but no lights, no TV, no sushi and no AC. How the hell did people live 100 years ago? |
The biggest difference was that they entertained each other. For instance, many (most?) families had a member who played some kind of musical instrument. That disappeared with the advent of radio. |
