closed toed summer shoes that are slightly nicer than sneakers but not really flats

I need close toed shoes to wear with flowy summer pants. I hate open toed sandals. Would Toms work? What are my other options that are nicer than vejas, but not typical flats. Thanks!

I have rope soled Toms for this. In my head, at least, the rope sole makes them summery. Other flat espadrilles might work too.

I have the Viviaia flats and they are pretty comfy but run narrow so I end up feeling lol the edges of my feet are not supported.

I also have the vionics posted and they are okay but not particularly dressy. I’ve just bend wearing black Taos sneakers most days but I also need a different solution.
