McDonalds are usually pretty clean. I would welcome any other recommendations! |
Not using a public available restroom unless it's an emergency. It's hit or miss anywhere you go.
Office buildings are often the cleanest though. |
Honestly, walk into any nice hotel - there's almost always a bathroom in the lobby. I live in San Francisco and know where to find the bathroom in every hotel downtown.
Also, department stores - Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc. The Container Store always has bathrooms for customers but often doesn't have toilet paper in them, even first thing in the morning. I've noticed grocery store bathrooms are filthy even at Whole Foods. Bathrooms in nicer restaurants are generally cleaner than bathrooms in less-nice ones. |
Nordstroms, it has the lounge area too |
Target for bathroom only. |
The Smithsonian’s are pretty easy. |
Target is usually pretty acceptable. |
Not near me, in a nice suburb. +1 for Nordstrom. Also, Chik Fila and Dicks Sporting Goods (random, I know). |
Many churches have clean restrooms and are open during the day. |

Starbucks (most coffee shops), Sonic, sometimes Target. |
Hello, fellow IBS - D sufferer! |
Nordstrom. Chick Fil A. |
"My child! Nooo my child this is a confessional booth! Nooo stop!" Kids used to laugh that the booths looked like little outhouses in the back of the church. |
Op here, my old lady bladder thanks you! |
