Right by Frick Park, absolutely gorgeous landscaping, incredible ceilings and stained glass:
https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/6850-Reynolds-St_Pittsburgh_PA_15208_M37829-41346 My daughter will be moving to Pittsburgh within a year and is looking at homes. This is out of her price range, but it's such a strikingly beautiful house that I wanted to share it. |
| I hate the kitchen but otherwise I love this house |
| I love this house even with its need for updating. Natural light and all sorts of nooks and crannies. While it won’t be this one I hope your daughter finds a home she loves OP! |
| If she is moving there she probably is not an old, so will have zero percent interest in this hobbit house. |
| So many gorgeous homes in that area |
| Not amazing but not bad. Could be strategically modernized in some places where it isn't charming old just cheap old but overall pretty good. |
| Gives off fraternity vibes |
| Prob not worth $1.4 in Pittsburgh |

Lol, DCUM.
I am a former Pittsburgher and left DMV because I couldn't afford a house in Bethesda. I love historical architecture and it's amazing to see what prices are like outside the most expensive parts of the U.S. Thanks to things I clicked into from DCUM, I've learned I can apparently buy a crumbling castle in France or Italy for this kind of money. But the French castle lady says it's not as fun as it looks. For the price of a house in Kenwood, I could get an earthquake-compromised but very pretty castle near Perugia. |
| Gorgeous. Love all of it. Beautiful area. |
| It’s big, but not my style and really outdated. I especially dislike the overhang for the patio area. |

Wow!! This is the nicest house I’ve seen posted on DCUM. This is real quality. It’s perfect! The only complaint is the lot size, I wish it had more property.
I hope the new owners don’t change a thing, or “update” it. It’s gorgeous! Thank you for posting this! |
You’d be surprised, this is what 19-29 yo age group wants. Solidly built, unique, custom. |
| Pittsburgh Public Schools — no thank you! |

I’m from Pittsburgh and it’s always tough to stomach prices there compared to here. You could uproot my ~$700K Forest Glen house to a modest Pittsburgh neighborhood and it’d probably be like half the price. Of course this one is up there since it’s unique and in one of the nicest city neighborhoods, but still likely overpriced.
On a related note - I came across an article about this warehouse converted house on the north side in Pgh and saw it go pending not long after. Curious what it ends up settling at. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/847-W-North-Ave-Pittsburgh-PA-15233/164307689_zpid/ |
