Suggest wine for a BBQ

Just having 4 couples over to hang out out the deck and grill. We are not wine drinkers. Please make suggestions. 8 people not all will drink wine. Grilling burgers and chicken with usual sides. Thanks.

Whispering Angel rose. Available at any grocery store. Ubiquitous perhaps, but people love it for a reason!

Not everyone likes Rose. Do you know f they are red or white drinkers?

For red, I’d do a light Pinot , Zinfandel or Merlot. For white, I’d pick a Chardonnay as that’s more ubiquitous.

If you do a white, do a Pinot blanc or an Albariño. Bad Chardonnay is incredibly awful!

A summer rose is perfect with both the chicken and burgers. Go to total wine and more and have them recommend one. You can get good roses at all price points. Also have beer.

Have both red & white wine available.

Pinot Grigio is an easy to drink white wine. Serve it cold. Sauvignon blanc is another easy to drink variety of white wine. Also should be chilled.

Pinot Noir is an easy to drink red wine variety.

I try to avoid wines from New Zealand as the grapefruit / lime taste is not pleasing to me.
