Advice on what to do about ex who hid assets, lied, forged my name etc….

Recently divorced, my psychopathic ex who I realized is a criminal. They are a high-level federal government attorney. Forged my name, removed most of their pension. Hid money through fake “loans” to family and friends. Hired a crooked duck web attorney to cover up all of their crimes disempowered me resulting in me losing everything. A retired, biased and incompetent judge heard the case. I had no attorney. I lost everything. Family court is a complete farce. Criminals win if they pay the right people. Any advice on how to even fix some of this would be appreciated. Discovery phase of divorce was completely skipped over. Case went right to merits. Tons of corruption exposed. I paid the price for whistleblowing.

I'm sorry OP. I agree with you the court is biased. I won't bore you with what happened to me but my ex wife made out like a bandit because of extremely bias judge.

Unless you have lots of money for an attorney it's game over. The American justice center system rewards those who have the means to hire a proven competent attorney and they cost money lots of it.

Move on and try to make a new jappy life for yourself. I lost custody of my daughter dealing with this. No lawyer. I was a SAHM and he took my money. I was almost homeless if not for friends and family. Took me awhile to get back on my feet.

If you have proof of his malfeasance or even stuff that might affect his law license, get a lawyer and respond.

The divorce is done, so, otherwise, re-litigation isn't useful and will just burn what you have left. Why didn't you get a lawyer?!?

We have friends who fought during the divorce proceedings for what they needed post divorce (eg houses and vehicles.) Some of it is petty to the outside observer. My wife has male friends who work construction, and the wife fights over trucks. It can resemble a toddler fight but the guys can't work without the trucks and their work is meaningful to them and they need their materials to work.

If you keep fighting, my wife says Now you're going up against a legal stranger. The divorce rules may not protect you anymore. You missed your opportunity to go against him as a husband. You may win but it will be different. You may just burn what you have left. You can't re litigate the divorce.

I was a stay at home mom. Left me at a disadvantage. Ex has money and connections to the highest level of our government. They are also covering up other crimes that involved harming our children. The level of corruption is unreal. Family court is a true circus and will violate your basic human and constitutional rights. It’s all about money. I am actually homeless as a result of this debacle. Ex hired others to stalk, harass, hack and abuse me. Police are useless and complicit. Maryland is an extremely corrupt state. Family court is corrupt across the Country,but particularly bad in Maryland. Ex promised to make sure I have nothing as “I am nothing without them”.

As a trial lawyer, here’s what I see. People without lawyers have a really difficult time figuring out how to get in evidence and constantly miss deadlines - even where judges bend over backwards to help. And missing deadlines and failing to get evidence in to meet your burden of proof will be always fatal to your case. It’s not that easy. There are rules about what’s admissible and how you can get it in. And then there are cases that interpret those rules. Lawyers spend years in school and the rest of their professional careers studying.

For whatever reason, people will spend money on other professions. People pay doctors, accountants, plumbers, electricians, whatever. They find a way to pay for it. But they think they can do it themselves in court. But, as OP has seen, you get what you pay for.
