How many summer vacations?

Do you take more than one vacation over the summer? If so, how many and where are you going? Or do you usually stick to one or none?

I am continually shocked by how much PTO some people are able to take over the summer.

We're planning a long weekend at the beach right after school ends and a one week long family vacation in August to a national park. We may also do a long weekend to visit family in August. DH and I are planning a weekend getaway in July while the kids are at sleepaway camp.

I have summers off (teacher) but no money for vacations. We usually got to the beach for a few days every few years.

Zero, normally, we may take a weekend trip or two but that's not normal for us.

At least one. In the past years we've done Hawaii, Florida and Italy.

We sometimes go to the IL's house on one of the Great Lakes for a long weekend/half week. We also may visit family at an East Coast beach.

DH works in the office but can really work from anywhere. It's the kids (college and HS) schedules that make vacation planning difficult. We also rarely go anywhere on spring break because they are all different weeks.

My kids are now in college. We don't take a summer trip with just our family but still get together with my extended family for a week. This year that's at the beach but destination has varied year to year. We do a trip that just us during winter break. I'll take a couple long weekends this summer to visit friends.

We take 2 full weeks off and then 2-3 long weekends at our family beach house where DH will work from the house Mom/Tues or Thursday/Fri. I'm a nurse so get some flexibility where I can take time off without actually using PTO days.
This summer we were able to take a big chunk of time off and we are going to Japan for 2.5 weeks.

We take one summer vacation in the weeks between when sports end and start again (high school boys). But we also take some extra long weekends for travel sports. We rarely travel the rest of the year - sometimes a short, driveable spring break long weekend. All our family is local so we don't have to travel to see family at holidays.

One 7 day sans kids while they are at camp and one 2-3 weeks as a whole family.

We spend at least 4 months overseas during the summer. However we have 2 houses overseas and 2 in the US and like to travel.

One week trip to Europe (shorter than I'd like but it's a direct flight).

One week driving trip to visit two sets of in-laws, consecutively.

Possibly 1-2, 1-2 night college visits.

I have some additional cool work travel but that's just me.

We do a week at a cabin with my in-laws every year. This year I'm also taking most of a week to do a trip just with my eight year old to an amusement park.

Do you consider baseball tournaments “vacation”. They take up so much of our pto that it’s hard to take a real vacation. We will get a week in Rehoboth, but not sure if DH can come with or not.
We make up for it at spring break and Christmas break.

One weeklong BIG trip (as in, we travel farther and spend more) and one smaller, five day long weekend, which is usually a road trip <5 hours drive.

Sometimes. Last year, I took a 10 day family vacation (Alaska cruise) and a 7 day girls trip (Spain) over the summer but that was unusual for me. I usually take 2 weeks off each summer. A long weekend somewhere drivable right after school gets out, a week away somewhere we fly to for our big family vacation and a few days of just hanging out and back to school shopping right before school starts.
