POTUS and FLOTUS have COVID

I am actually surprised he wasn't taken to Walter Reed as soon as he tested positice. COVID is a serious illness and can progress rapidly especially in someone with the risk factors Trump has, abd well hate it or love it he's POTUS.

It’s been about 4 decades. I’m sure that there have been significant updates.
Also, I thought Reagan was taken to GW after the shooting. Was he transferred to WR? Or do you mean recovery from something else?

Huge national security f$&k up right now. I’m not at all reassured that this administration has us all covered. What a mess.

You are clueless.

There is a beautiful, large suite of rooms where patients of his ilk are treated.

VERY cushy and spacious, not a hospital room.

+1
Makes sense that he would quarantine there. He can continue to work while being monitored and not putting WH staff at risk.

He can do that in his bedroom at the White House, and it would be safer too.

Once again: he’s the POTUS. They’re not about to take any chances. It’s quite bizarre that some of you have an issue with the POTUS heading to Walter Reed for observation.

What you are not getting is that if you aren't that sick, it is safer not to be in the hospital.

Anyone else think maybe this wasn’t taken today? No live shot. The legs look thin for his usual frame..

It’s an entirely new location, no?

No transfer of power to Pence.

At least not right now.

Sure, if you are the average person. But this is POTUS at Walter Reed. It may be overkill but there is no safer place for him. I just hope they take his phone.

Thaaaaaaat sounds like bullsht.

Many hospitals have VIP suites. I haven’t been to one at WR, but the ones I’ve seen look like hotel suites - with room for medical equipment. So, definitely not BS that a hospital charged with caring for the POTUS would have something similar, that also meets standards for high level security.

DP. Yes that's true, but it's besides the point. It's stil a hospital, not a hotel.

He MUST be that sick. The concilium of physicians made a decision to pre-load him with experimental medication that has barely cleared a preliminary clinical trial before admitting him for a few days from the While House, which has a decently equipped in-house medical center.

Let me repeat - a sitting USA President was just given an EXPERIMENTAL, non FDA approved medication and then immediately admitted to a hospital, with anticipated hospitalization course of a few days.

And he is less than 24 hrs from a positive test, and presumably less than 72 hours from exposure, although that is less certain.

He is that sick

Oh look. He walked out to the helicopter with no problem at all. No wheelchair or gurney. How disappointed the vultures must be!

I just watched the live feed of him getting in the helicopter but I am not convinced it was actually him. Looked different.
