I've read about 20 or 30 pages of this not necessarily all in a row, but at least the last 10 in a row.

All very interesting conversations and I feel like I pretty much get the gripes and evidence and recrimination. In fact I'm so clear on it that I haven't felt the need to even look up her picture or Instagram or google her. I think I get it.

But still In missing something. Why do we care?

Why does anyone care about cultural appropriation?

I think I care because, like the rest of you, we dont like liars, showoffs, and cultural misrepresentation. We dont like her. We want her exposed by the media because we think this should all be public so she can receive the maximum amount of humiliation and excoriation. Right? Is that why we care? Whatever happened to Perez Hilton he used to be good at this. Remember when he tormented Britney Spears?

Cultural appropriation when someone falsely makes money of fof that identity and becomes a false idol for lots of people based on those lies? It ties into ALL KINDS of appropriation. My guess is you asked because you are a white man who has never faced any kind of adversity.

I dont care if she is ever humiliated. She just need to stop making money off of this and stop lying. And beyond that, it's just unbelievably fascinating on a psychological level... How Alec fell for it, how she has gotten away with it, how so many people seem to know/hate her on Long Island, whether or not she has a personality disorder...

I’m brown. People make all sorts of idiotic assumptions based on that fact. I’ve dealt with people asking me things like “what are you?” Does your dad own a 7-11? And telling me to go back to my own country. So I think it’s majorly f-ed up that someone lies through their teeth to be “exotic” and yet faces none of the ignorance.

I think it is a public document. I also think you can also look up birth certificates? I don't know about Spain (her mom said she had her in January of her second year of medical school at BU "before finals," so it's not out of the question she had Hillary in Spain during the vacation break), but I believe anyone can look up birth certificates with a press pass.
