Physicians Assistant yelling “HELP ME” while stealing a CitiBike ?

Why is this thread 86 pages long. It's just two people arguing about who reserved the bike. The lady did seem very much unhinged. It's kind of scary that she likely interacts with people in her job.

Haha we’ve come full circle

Nah, what's scary is the notion that a bunch of young guys can get away with harassing a pregnant woman.
Where are their own mothers?

You mean the crazy lady off her meds?

Do you have any evidence showing who reserved the bike?

I didn’t call for her to be fired, but I certainly didn’t support her at the beginning of this. I posted that I thought they probably got there around the same time and he grabbed the handlebars while she sat down, or that maybe she didn’t notice them at the bikes but not on the bike when she sat on it.

It literally never occurred to me from what was on the video that she had already rented the bike, they physically pushed her and the bike back into the dock to reset it, and they then rented it out from under her, harassing her into leaving and taking another bike. I’m pretty creative, but I didn’t expect that plot twist. I’m glad she has the receipts and a good lawyer.

I’m struggling with my response to her response. Not that I assumed it was probably a misunderstanding rather than what the situation was, but that when I saw the update today about her receipts, I was annoyed that she shouted help but when the coworker came over she didn’t state the problem. But then I think, she had a long day, is very pregnant, overwhelmed, frustrated, probably scared. I freeze in those situations and I sometimes stammer when I’m put on the spot, so I might have trouble getting the right words out. Just because she didn’t respond how I think I would (pretty sure I wouldn’t yell for help, especially if I wasn’t going to explain the situation when help came) doesn’t mean her response is wrong, it’s just different. If it were a calm, chill moment that allowed her time to reflect about how to handle things, she probably wouldn’t have felt the need to ask for help or react the way she did.

I hope there aren’t any more plot twists or surprise endings, and that she has a peaceful couple of months leading up to her new baby arriving.

Just like people were too quick to believe the version of events that the men wanted us to believe, people are now accepting the narrative being pushed by the PA's attorney. The first version sounded off, and this version sounds off. All these people accepting the PA's version as gospel should learn from the mistakes of who jumped on the bandwagon of the black guy accusing her of Karen-ism. We really don't know what happened and it's not yet clear that the receipts prove what is being claimed.
People are gullible. This reeks or social media stunt.

Yeah, they even got Bellevue Hospital in on it. Hospitals do the craziest social media stunts!

#Citibike KAREEM was probably expecting someone to gift him the world's most expensive bike of his very own or at least a lifetime voucher for a Citibike.

A group of men harassing a pregnant woman and so many instinctively side with the men do to own biases.

She had the receipt. Case closed.

Social media can be really toxic.

There was the video where it looked like an elderly man slugged a younger woman for no reason, in front of a restaurant. It was shocking. That video brought a lot of condemnation down on the elderly man. Then another video surfaced that shows the full exchange, not just the clip of the older man slugging the younger woman. The younger woman had been harassing his party for some time, and then became physically violent towards his group. At some point he punched her, but with the full video it appears he was defending himself from her assault on him. Of course, race was dragged into the discussion of this incident. It was posted on Reddit.

We are any of us vulnerable to these types of scenarios. The videos don't show the full exchange, but the intent seems to be making the wronged party look like a terrible person. In reality, the "terrible person" has been set up.

I witnessed a set-up along these lines in a retail store, which could have easily looked very bad for the intended victim, had the victim not walked away from the situation. Someone was filming in the background.

So why were these dudes all just hanging out at the station like that?

Seriously? You’re asking why a bunch of dudes are just hanging out somewhere? In NY?

She has a lawyer. Her employer punished her and prominent (i.e. deep pockets) people on social media called her awful things. It's far from over and she's going to get paid

She's a better woman than me. I would be suing the ever living HELL out of them. And that might actually dissuade some of this vile behavior in the future

I mean she could but come on … she’s not getting any money from those guys. Can’t collect a judgment from people who are out here trying to steal rental bikes.

I’m not sure why people think the teenagers somehow were trying to ruin her life-they were being terrible for sure, but I think they were trying to be malicious idiots in the moment, not ruin her life. just because they videoed and posted it they had no way of knowing so many people with big audiences would run with the misleading clip. Newsflash-many teens video literally everything and post all manner of stuff without thinking it will go viral.
