Quite a sudden and surprising shift in tone from countries that were/are actively supplying weaponry and arming Israel. There are talks that France may be in the process of recognize the state of Palestine. It could be due to the ever growing awareness via social media and that the public is seeing the horrific images coming out of Gaza, that politicians are starting to feel the pressure to finally act. In the UK alone, an estimated half million people marched through central London in protests for Gaza this past weekend.

European intel services likely told them there will be tens of thousands of starvation deaths in the next week. The full blockade started 11 weeks ago and no food has entered since then. Food supplies are about to run out.
