When it was people imprisoned over January 6th, Supreme Court let them sit in prison for years while the district courts and appeals courts reviewed the details and formed decisions before eventually saying the Sarbanes Oxley charges did not apply to these cases.

When it was illegal immigrants, the Supreme Court stepped in and stopped deportations within 24 hours, without even having jurisdiction.

How does anyone know if they are illegal immigrants or have committed a felony? And is not there a difference between detention and deportation?

Yeah well the J6ers deserved the jail time, for assaulting police officers, destroying doors and windows at the Capitol, breaking into restricted areas, vandalizing, ransacking and looting Congressional offices, and trying to pull a coup by preventing certification of the electoral college votes. Those are serious crimes, last time I checked.

I'm a lot less worried about some harmless Salvadoran hotel maid or landscaper trying to feed their family.

You really cannot tell the difference between seditionists and people who are entitled to due process under the US Constitution before being sent to a gulag, you know, to make sure the people being sent away aren't legally here and not guilty of any crimes?
