Transforming Maryland Youth Soccer email: mdclubsoccer@protonmail.com A new organization for Maryland parents of current and/or former youth soccer players and coaches who are fed up with the win-at-all-costs, warm body for cold cash landscape in Maryland. We can and need to transform the club environment in Maryland. It is time to wage war against the educational malpractice that has failed to develop players (the scoreboard and trophy case are the wrong metrics to measure the competence of your child's coach/club/DOC/owner), the exorbitant salaries being paid to members of the Maryland club soccer mafia infrastructure and the ridiculous fees being charged. Send me your stories and concerns. I will keep you posted on an upcoming community open house that will serve as a forum for parents and coaches to be heard, and an opportunity to develop Next Steps to make progress. The Beautiful Game and the next generation of Maryland youth players needs YOU! We can make an impact....join our group to help expose the unethical standards and behavior of clubs and to help create a model club that will offer an affordable "player development first" alternative to the Big Box offenders. Please forward this message to others... mdclubsoccer@protonmail.com |

| I bet you drive an electric car |
| This seems unnecessarily aggressive... |
| Probably goes 1-9-1 in league play. |
| good luck getting field space lol |
Empty trophy case, what a loser amirite? |
| Given your name of this thread, your new “movement” is clearly about Bethesda grievances and not about all of Maryland youth soccer. |

This is a great idea. We need more options in the DMV with qualified coaches and a club that does not make "qualified" Directors rich who live in Potomac or Bethesda in mansions making $300K+ a year. However, I would not email anything about your experience to this email address. "Send me your stories and concerns." This could be a Bethesda Club employee trying to get info on which parents are not happy. I like the idea and I would use an anonymous (spam) email without your full name to email them to keep you up to date. But unless there is some legit website or person or formal meeting, I would be careful.
Nonetheless it is a great idea and I don't think it is just some ramdom parent who is unhappy with Bethesda. It is time for more options in the DMV with fees that are reasonable. 2k/year. |
you thought this joke was good enough to post 2x? |

Haha, capitalism 101.
‘Your club has problems, our new club won’t have this problem. Don’t spend your money there, spend your money here!’ |
| If Bethesda is Non-profit, can’t anybody look up salaries and if they have a problem with it they can just go somewhere else? |
| Pretty sure we don’t need more options in the dmv. Also the win at all costs happens across the country not just at Bethesda |
+1. The vast majority of Maryland (and American) parents do not care about their kid "developing" as a soccer player. Club play is seen as necessary if kids want to play HS soccer. An even smaller portion with kids that are talented enough see it as a springboard to a higher ranked college. Otherwise, nobody cares. They are perfectly content doing pay for play clubs. |
No they’d rather have a public temper tantrum |
