Any insights on when Alexandria Soccer will extend offers for their girls’ side following tryouts which concluded last evening?

Were you there?

No, my spouse took our daughter. Do you suggest that timing of offers was communicated last evening?

Also interested in this thread. Can anyone confirm whether they have received an Alexandria girls side offer (GA2 and below) for 2013, 2012, or 2011? We have not received word on a roster spot.

Curious to know as well. Huge turnout the last couple of rounds. Alexandria will be very interesting all around next year.

Is there not always a large turnout for the tryouts? Why would it be different as opposed to any other year?

Do you not live here? Alexandria lost GA for the past 2 years and girls fled from the club. They just got GA back for next year, which has sparked renewed interest.

No need to be rude. I asked a question that was legitimate. Now, let's talk facts.

Alexandria was poorly performing when they had GA. Anyone who was any good and wanted higher level soccer left for GA or ECNL. Don't give me b.s. about the 12's making some waves against clubs worse than ASA. Their best players left too. They will be found out in short order.

ASA held their tryouts after other GA teams were settled for next year. This means they will have the kids nobody else wanted.

There will he no "building." Kids don't won't go there next year unless they don't make another team. Kids don't want to get boat raced every weekend. It isn't fun for them either. The only ones who would have to because nobody else wants them on the better teams.

Reality will set in soon enough at ASA for parents and kids. Have a lovely day.

Seems like you knew the answer to your question. I wasn't being rude, just matching your energy.

I can’t imagine anyone would be this hostile about a child’s soccer team unless they were personally aggrieved. Sorry your kid didn’t make the cut. Agree that next year will speak for itself.

Step away from the keyboard, my dude. You aren’t doing anyone any good here.

Yes, I know of a number of 2014s getting offers on a few of the teams (preGA to White).

The ASA staff has been open that the late add of the GA program has pushed back the timing of their offers, especially on the GA2 level and below. Some invites have already gone out, but many girls are still waiting. Even girls who have been with the club previously.
