| I've heard many of the kids at the independent schools use tutors even though most won't admit it. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a math and writing tutor in the DC area? Someone familiar with the rigor and curriculum at Maret, GDS, St. Albans, NCS, Sidwell, etc. would be great! |

| We found that Wyzant worked well. It is not the same as a local tutor recommended by someone you know. But, it made it very easy to sort by cost, expertise, and schedule. |
| Many of this board recommended I go to Wyzant. I found a great math tutor there. |
| NP here. What are the going hourly rates now for an in-person math or English tutor for middle and high school? |
| $175-$200/hr |
| We’ve been happy with online tutoring through learner.com. |
| We are currently working with a very good tutor we found on Wyzant. He’s local to us and his rates are reasonable. |
| Out tutor charges $60/hr for in-person Spanish lessons. He also teaches elementary school level math. |

My kid tutors. 1570 on first and only SAT when he was 15. Attending LSE this fall. I think kids respond to someone on their peer level better than a crusty old adjunct on the spectrum.

There is a steady stream of NCS girls being tutored for math by the STA faculty. If you are on the Close I'd ask around who they are using now. |
Do you have to pay for the STA faculty tutoring? |
Why does he need you to find him jobs? |
