Trump cost conservatives elections in both Canada and Australia

In two countries, conservative parties (Australian Liberals are actually conservative) were well ahead in the polls and look poised for big victories. Trump almost single-handedly torpedoed their chances in both.

In Canada Conservatives gained seats and had a higher percentage than last time. All these third parties saw their collapse support as it got closer to the election. Dumping Trudeau took away a lot of voters from these parties.

Agree and it’s the same in Australia. But Trump definitely had an impact.

People keep saying Republicans should have nominated Nikki Haley.
This is essentially what Canada's conservatives did, and the weaker CanadianHaley couldn't manage.

Agree. American voters went bat poop crazy and decided electing 80 year presidents was a good idea in the past two elections. We can only hope they have learned their lesson by now.
