Pre pandemic there was a stall at the Dupont farmers market every Sunday that had the most amazing almond croissants. Still haven’t found anything locally that’s half as good. Some are too dry. Some too sweet. Some no flavor. Etc.
What are your recommendations? |
| There's really no place to get them around here, sadly. Might I kindly suggesting traveling to France? |
| Kafe Leopold's is good, but get there before they run out. |
| Sounds crazy, but just buy the frozen ones from Trader Joe’s. Let them rise overnight, then bake. |
| Petite cerise |
| Nino's bakery on L St. |
| Yellow! |
| Nino's or Yellow are my recommendations. |
| La Bohemia bakery in North Bethesda/Rockville or Ooh LaLa in Wheatonf |
| Godfrey's in Falls Church |
How do you keep the filling in? It always leaks out even when I try to pinch the ends. They are good. |
I was just coming to ask this same question! |
| Un je ne se quois. Especially if you like it crispy. They also have pistachio croissants that are excellent |
| Does any place do the twice-baked almond crossaints here? |
Breads Unlimited in Bethesda. But I don't know what's too sweet for you. |
