If your child had multiple HYPSM / IVY+ offers where did the choose?

What was the final decision and what were key factors that influenced them with so many great options?

DS chose Berkeley Regents over Caltech and Johns Hopkins.

Not admitted to Harvard, Stanford and Princeton.

UChicago over Brown, Stanford.

He went for fit, how he felt on campus. There was no science to it really. He is very happy with his choice

Notre Dame over Penn and Cornell.

When asked why, DC said "vibes". Accepted student events -- if they give a good sense of community -- really matter.

Love the geography. Was open to Midwest,West Coast, & East Coast.

Mine chose Bucknell. They were willing to accept a slight drop in prestige and "wow" factor for a more robust and well-rounded college experience and a tight, loyal alumni network, particularly in the financial sector where they hope to work.

Nephew chose Rice w/ merit over Stanford. He really liked the “vibe” and is planning to go to med school so cost matters a bit.

My kid picked Rice over Swat. Loved the vibe.
