My favorite Chinese takeaway has discontinued their egg rolls, which used to be a Sunday evening staple for me, dunked in hot mustard.
I am in mourning!! |
| Do they have them at other times? I learned from one restaurant that some things I really like are time consuming or take a lot of grill space, so they were fine with preparing these dishes off-menu at less frantic times. |
| You...cannot get to HMart and buy some? Bc that is where you "favourite" takeaway place is getting them. |
|
It’s very unlikely they made them in house, so try the one a few blocks away.
No shade to the Chinese place. I’m not mad at any of the other restaurants that don’t make everything. But this is like if the McDonald’s on your corner stops selling fries. Just go to a different one. |
| I bought the egg rolls from TJ’s . Pleasantly surprised by how good they were. |
Maybe she can't since she lives in England- "takeways" are from Old Blighty, chaps. |
Spot on! |
There is a ton of Asian food in England. It’s hardly remote. |
Way to miss the joke. |
The joke that there is only one Chinese restaurant in London? |
| But is it your FAVOURITE and is it TAKEAWAY? |
|
Maybe this is too simple but I here's what I'm thinking: I hate eggrolls and prefer spring rolls. The reason is that I think eggrolls have an overly pepper-y taste (like black pepper).
Can you sub spring rolls and douse them in black pepper and hot mustard and see if that works for you? |
The point of egg rolls is that they’re fried and crunchy. They aren’t spicy. Wtf with your pepper?! |
You added the u to “favourite.” OP didn’t spell it that way. So why did you put it in quotes? |
| Costco has frozen egg rolls, just bake in oven and you can enjoy anytime you want. |
