What do yall think? |
| I would have to download Tik Toc to watch it and I’m not doing that. What does it say? |
| Ha ha me too and I won’t download it either |
|
It's the Yale football team.
First guy had a 19, 2nd a 24, 3rd a 1280, and 4th a 27 |
| I think I don't care? |
yup, that's recruited athletes for ya. everyone getting stressed about affirmative action which was only a thumb on the scale when it was allowed. but recruited sports is an entire fist on the scale (not just a thumb). |
| Haha, I mean, not surprising on the whole, but a 19? That is a bit surprising. Seems more like George Dubya days... |
You’re so self-obsessed you fear the Chinese want YOUR personal information? Irrational. Or maybe you’re afraid of seeing the truth about what’s going on in Palestine. Pathetic. |
|
So what? The school wants to put together an interesting class with lots of different types of talents. A class filled entirely with people with high standardized test scores may not necessarily be as interesting for the members of said class.
Being with and around young people with many different types of talents leads to a better overall education for everyone in the class. College is about more than just the classroom. |

Wouldn't be surprised if athletes with 19-24 ACT scores end up more successful in their careers, more loyal as alumni, and donate at a higher rate, than the 36 ACT math/science-types, on average.
I'm sure Yale has the data to know what students are best for the present and future of their school community. |
| 27 I get - you have to be a very strong athlete to compete at an Ivy. Most varsity team captains aren’t Ivy level athletes. I also know someone who earned a 21 or 22 on the ACT who played on Northwestern’s women’s lacrosse team, so I’m not surprised. |
Test optional. |
I know another 19 who's in at Harvard. |
Is that a 19 on the SAT? |
| Ok? It's up to Yale who gets in, not you. |
