Make thighs look better

Anonymous
Best way to improve look of heavier thighs and tighten up skin/tone in this area? Don’t say you can’t spot reduce! Looking for products mostly. I already run/walk 5m a day.

Heavy lifting. It’s true you can’t spot reduce your abs, but the legs have large muscles that can change a lot in appearance if you build muscle and lose fat.

Lift heavy, add protein, put yourself in a slight caloric deficit.

Liposuction

Another vote for heavy lifting. I have giant thighs and have to drop my weight significantly for them to be slim. But I lose weight up top first so I’ll look anorexic above the waist before I have slim thighs. Keeping them very toned is the best I can do and lifting does that.

Gain muscle to overcompensate for the fat.
No-carb to try to use some of that fat for fuel.

You will gain the fat look back quick once you quit lifting and start eating carbs.

Yah girl, just hit the gym harder. You can't "products" your way out of fat thighs.

Weights.

Also, you could use the stairmaster. Do not lean on the machine!

Or use the incline function on the treadmill. But do not copy the morons holding on - LET GO AND LET YOUR ARMS SWING.

Or even a bike or seated elliptical, doing some seriously hard resistance intervals.

Rucking made a big difference

I’m very similar and honestly, I got lipo (as part of another surgery) and lift heavy. It’s really nice to see the results of the lifting much more quickly now. I had stubborn fat and saddle bags that was absolutely not budging despite being very fit.

Lipo is no joke—takes several months to fully recover from the weird nerve stuff (numbness and pinging) and you need to religiously wear compression and use a roller on the area for a couple of months afterwards. You want to make sure the surgeon thinks your skin laxity is good and will recover well. But it’s been pretty magical to be rid of that nonsense and feeling good in my body.

PS: You also need to go to a legit plastic surgeon, none of this “awake” lipo at a med spa!

But you can't... when it comes to losing fat you can not choose where the fat comes from.

Toning really means adding muscle and that involves lifting heavy and eating in a slight calorie surplus. Like gaining fat you can not gain muscle without excess calories. this is why most body builders have bulking and cutting phases. You can also do a more lean gain by eating slightly more on lifting days, but this take longer.

If you aren't looking to lose weight or change your exercise routine, your best bet is to buy clothes that flatter your body shape.

Squats, lunges, deadlifts. All variations on repeat.

Another vote for squats lunges and deadlifts

Biking, stairs, or running make them look better. I don’t see a big difference from walking unless I’m already pretty thin
