"It would be unjust should federal enforcement activities in and around local courtrooms have a chilling effect on the appearance of undocumented victims and witnesses,” Platania told The Daily Progress.

Reppucci seconded that.

“Is it worth the trouble to go to court?” Reppucci asked. “I think it’s going to make it much harder, inherently harder, and more likely that people will disregard lawfully issued subpoenas, both by the prosecution and by defense attorneys and by civil attorneys and, even perhaps, dare we say, in divorce cases or custody case hearings that people are going to evaluate whether or not it makes sense to follow lawful state orders.”

Why didn't anyone overpower these thugs, keep them from leaving the building?

You try to overpower the guys with guns in a federal courthouse. I’d say let us know how it goes, but these days they shoot to kill.

Yikes. If you don't need a uniform or badge, that approach is open to every small throng of white males with guns.

It was Albemarle County courthouse and one day one of those guys will find themselves on the wrong side of a bullet as folk exercise their 2A rights. The fact that they eventually are discovered to be Federal officers will not be relevant. That's why warrants and ID and going maskless iss important.

Why th emasks anyway? Afraid that the rightewous cause aint so righteous?

Did they have guns?

Anyway, at least follow them, film their car and see where they go.

Same people who complained about wearing masks are now wearing masks I'm sure.

The court house has their own guards and police. Should’ve stopped them.

Obvious plot twist: they were in on it.

Be careful in Florida and antsy state that allows concealed weapons. If they don’t identify themselves they are likely to get shot.

This is rife for abuse for trafficking... I don't understand security allowing people to take others based only on word of mouth.

They did identify themselves according to the article, just not to the bystanders screaming at them. They wore a mask so people on dcum wouldn't dox them. They performed their duties quickly and efficiently and were able to get the suspects out quickly and without harm to themselves or the suspects.

According to the article, they identified themselves this way. "We are officers from Homeland Security.”

And I am king. Do you buy that?
