Massive Wildfires now in New Jersey?

Anonymous

Over 13,000 acres have been scorched so far.
What’s the cause?
Why isn’t it immediately contained?

Cause - Burning pallets, left unattended while still burning.

Reason not contained - Dry conditions and wind.

It was 50% contained earlier today. Rain coming on Saturday which will help. It’s awful.

Arsonists in the recent LA fires never got arrested, even though there was plenty of
video evidence.

That's over charged and will be reduced to "reckless burning" or dropped entirely by a good lawyer.

Does not even remotely meet the legal definition of "arson" as arson must be deliberate.

Arson is to murder as reckless burning is to negligent manslaughter.

So zero consequences??
That’s insane!

Considering the property damage and outrage, and looking at his mug shot he doesn't look wealthy at all, he will get railroaded into arson charges if he cops a plea and is dumb.
Even if he is smart or they give him a proper reckless burning charge, he could still be facing some jail time and fines.
Possible civil suits also? Not completely sure about that area of law.
