| Reportedly 1200 out of 1700 received RIF notices today. I’m one of them. 60 day notice |
| Likely the same notice they hoped to send out on February 14. |
| So sorry to hear this PP. This Administration is so ridiculously corrupt. Did they offer VERA, VSIP, or Fork 2 before the RIFs? Best of luck to you and others who were RIFd. |
| Sorry, OP. |
| Post the details |
Not OP but in same boat. No, they did not. This seems to be the same plan they tried in February but got stayed. DC Circuit had just partially lifted the stay and said that RIFs could be conducted on a particularized basis. CFPB then immediately put the same plan into effect from before (trying to fire about 85% of the entire agency). So not particularized/reasoned at all. Classic. I’m sure they will move to get this stayed again as a violation of the court order. |
| Insane. CFPB is important. |
This. The only people who begrudge consumers protection are those who intend to swindle consumers. |
+1. |
| RIP CFPB |
| I’m so sorry OP. You were part of a noble mission. And you still are! And will be—hang in there for the fight! Thank you for your public service. |
| 1500/1758 is the number I've seen. |
Same. It’s also going to people who have already resigned or taken the fork offer. |
| OP here - thanks to all who shared good wishes. Like my colleague, I believe that this will be further litigated as related to the ongoing CFPB court case. This action is laughable in terms of being “particularized” as per the court. Just more of Vought trying to traumatize feds. |

PP, here's where I got the numbers (sorry in advance that it's a fox news link):
