Unlawfully in the U.S., these two used a power drill to mutilate the woman’s hand. Then they shot her, and left her for dead.

Do you believe these two gentlemen should be removed to their home country of Venezuela? Why or why not.

I believe they should be tried on the criminal charges in a court of law. If they are found guilty, then can serve their term here and then be removed or immediately enter removal proceedings.

But there are two steps - criminal court and immigration court.

I’m not going to click on a Fox link so basing just off what you said, no, I don’t think they should be removed to their home country. They committed a heinous crime here, and should be charged and jailed and face a lengthy punishment here. If they are still alive when that is over, then yes, they should be deported at that time.

They did not commit a crime in Venezuela so sending them there would be letting them live without a punishment for their crime.

Agree with pp’s. Wouldn’t they be more likely to cross the border again and/or commit more crimes if we deported them? Wouldn’t her family like to see justice served in the US?

Also, the US should never imprison an immigrant in a foreign country or deport them to a country that isn’t their origin. Thats cruel and unusual.

Yes and there isn't anyone who would think otherwise. Very different fact pattern than what we have seen in other recent cases.

They should be tried here.

Try them here. If convicted, they serve their term, then get kicked out of the country. If not convicted, they get kicked out of the country now.

This is how it’s usually down, so why is this a question?

Hey OP, you may want to turn off Fox News! You’re critical thinking skills are not improving by watching that garbage.

Why is this even an issue?

If Venezuela won't accept them - send them to El Salvador.

Better yet, send them to prison in El Salvador. If they go back to Venezuela, their leader will probably welcome them as heroes.
