Distant relative?
It’s one of those family situations where they invite far-away family to be polite. Met groom a couple times when he was a kid, so want supportive, but do not know the bride. Thinking $100 range - TIA! |

Huh? Registries are only for showers, they wouldn't create one for the wedding. For a wedding you send cash. |

Is there a registry or not? Are separate shower registries a thing now? But I wouldn't send a gift for a shower I wasn't attending. Are you going to the wedding? |

I've never attended a wedding that had separate registries. The couple sets up a registry before the shower and people use it for either a shower gift or wedding gift (or both). |

There are never two registries. You get something smaller from the registry for the bridal shower, something larger for the wedding. |
