| Ds has x-rays scheduled for next week and I get a call that our insurance is invalid. Of course it is valid, and the person probably typed something wrong. It happened to me before at the gynecologist. Idk why but I find it so frustrating. It creates extra work for me having to call and sort it out when it's annoying enough to start. |

No, not at all. Mistakes happen. This happened to me at the dentist recently when I switched insurance. Insurance company put DH's birthdate under my name so when the dentist ran my info through the verification, it was coming up invalid. Took a 10 min phone call with insurance to fix.
A long time ago I decided it wasn't worth letting things like this annoy me. I grew up with a mom who was annoyed by every single inconvenience that happened to her and it just seemed like a miserable way to live. Unless something causes a negative impact on my life (it took hours to fix, I had to cancel an appt because it couldn't be fixed in time, etc), I just don't find it worth it to get annoyed. |
| Yes it would annoy me. |
It is causing me an inconvenience: I am on 30 minutes of trying to even get the right person. I finally reached someone who said the person would call me back, but it is Friday afternoon and who knows. I find that my life is an endless amount of little thigns that do add up. I had another issue a couple weeks ago with something the pediatrician messed up with dd's vaccine records and that took two hours plus I ended up having to go in person. |
| It would annoy me. I think you just have to try to accept that a lot of people just aren’t very smart or good at their jobs and try to let it go. |
Now I feel like we are in limbo bc unless it gets solved I might have to cancel the appointment and find a new place. I don't like things up in the air. |
| That would annoy me but it’s never happened. |
| Do you live in the south? That sort of thing happens all the time here |
| Whip out some cash and fling it at the receptionist. It's a good flex. |
| No but this rarely happens to me. I always look for a way to type in identifying information myself. Having someone else do it is asking for errors. Most healthcare offices have some sort of portal where you can put in your info. |
Yes, and I did this and we already had a visit! This is for x-rays, in office at the same office two weeks later. They already processed our first claim using the same insurance. |
| Absolutely. A modern world is wonderful in many ways, but the bureaucracy, technology and incompetence wears on you. |
| Yes, it annoys me when other people's mistakes inconvenience me. It it were once in a while, it wouldn't be that a big deal. But there are so many mistakes made by so many incompetent people, that I find myself inconvenienced not infrequently. |
| Yes incompetence annoys me. |
| Health insurance sh*t frustrates me to no end. Only health insurance for some reason. It is an endless loop of calls to the insurance company and the hospital to find out exactly how much something costs to pay out of pocket (in the case insurance doesn’t cover a procedure). Most people you reach are incompetent. And nobody can tell you with confidence the exact number. Makes me so upset, I make my husband (who is a physician) do it. He has more patience but it wears on him too. |
