Last year families got an email in advance letting us know when the results would be out - did anyone get that email yet? |
No... when will we expect the result coming out? |
Last year the result was released two weeks after the Spring Break at 6 pm on April 12, we got a notice on April 8 that the decision would be released on April 12. My guess is that they will follow a similar timeline (so no result today). Enjoy your spring break and good luck! |
So maybe email tonight to say when will release? |
Last year the Spring break was the last week of March, about 2 weeks earlier than this year. So if no news today earliest will be Friday April 25 I guess (still before April 30)? Since next Friday April 18 will be in the break. |
Will hope they do same this year to give heads up on when offer/rejects come out so parents can be available that day. |
Hi is there a rule that they must release the results only on Friday? |
Looks like TJ admissions committee is governor funded and they don’t have a spring break the way FCPS teachers do. It means that the results can come this week. Why would they hold back all the way until April 21? Thoughts? |
"Starting with the Class of 2026, Applicant notification of the decisions
regarding admissions will be no later than April 30 each year." Fcps has generally been notifying decisions atleast two weeks before this deadline. But this year it appears they will be notifying the one week before April end. |
This is ridiculous. College Decision Day is May 1. PhD Decision Day for many programs is April 15. Private high school decisions were due late March. The initial acceptances were sent out many weeks prior. Summer plans and fall courses need to be decided on and scheduled. TJ should have their test earlier if this takes so much time. |
Maybe so. But this year: notifications were not issued last Friday. And now it is Spring Break (“SB”). Seems unlikely they will send the notifications this Friday, during SB. Appears likely Friday 4/25 will be the day offers are made this year. |
Can a student withdraw from the admissions process now? |
For what it's worth... we withdrew our application before the exam and got this email yesterday. So, I imagine decisions will be out shortly.
Dear TJHSST Applicant and Parent/Guardian(s): This notice serves as final notification of your status in the TJHSST Class of 2029 freshman admissions process. Specifically, the applicant named above was withdrawn from the admissions process at some point since submitting a completed application last fall. Consequently, no admissions decision will be issued for this applicant when decisions are released later this month. Withdrawal was due to at least one of the following reasons: family requested the student be withdrawn from the process, student did not meet one or more eligibility requirements for the admissions process, or student did not complete all parts of the admissions process needed to receive a decision. If you have questions about this notification or about the applicant’s withdrawal from consideration for admission, please contact the TJ Admissions Office at TJAdmissions@fcps.edu. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sincerely, TJ Admissions |
It could come as soon as tomorrow; likely after 5:00 pm. |
Yes. |
