FCPS just emailed about this. I am thrilled! |
Here is the link explaining it:

Another non-education enhancing expenditure. |
They need to do it at the middle schools too … |
How is this a good thing? It is fairly depressing, actually. How anyone can be "thrilled" over this astounds me |
you realize that it will travel around all the hs. one at a time. The line to go in will be so long that anyone who was planning something that day will be able to ditch the weapon.
Either all entrances every day, or none. Another $43987498 down the drain |
Weapons won’t be able to be brought in. They will be detected. |
There is someone that just spends all of their time on here negating anything done OP. Pay them no mind. |
So will every three ring binder and water bottle. The vast majority of kids are going to end up needing secondary screening if they’re not careful, and it’s going to be a mess. |
These measures do not work. |
Another pointless waste of $$$ by FCPS. |
Legally and ethically, these systems are a terrible idea:

Also, if these become permanent, they will need staff to be there to attend to them... staff that won't be able to supervise the other kids inside the building, and that lack of supervision has been a problem in places where this has been implemented. Not saying the system isn't a need or good... just that there is an impact there and if something goes down in other places where admin and security can't be, it's an issue |
I’d rather have this then guns brought to school. |
These systems do not work. |
