| Huge or minimal? |
| It depends on major, program or school within college |
| Cornell has the best reputation overseas if that is important. |
| Huge |
| Yuge |
| STL is gross |
| Depends on major. Dyson's prestige over WashU, huge. Many on this board look down on Cornell contract colleges. |
|
In general it depends on who is the audience?
In a dinner with your friends? Who cares, but clearly Ivy’s more prestigious by far. If the audience is potential employers. Then it depends on major, and that difference is a lot less an dit could be negligible. For Academia if the interest is moving forward to a top Grad School program, zero difference. For the future in case you want to start your own business….it just depends what area and who the investors are. Most informed and educated people understand the strengths of Wash U. But there is no question the Ivy brand will be more benefitial under those circles. There is no easy answer. And it is not black and white. |
Missouri is gross |

Continuing the above one….
Internationally, there is no comparison. Cornell is WAY ABOVE all of the others in prestige on MOST subjects. |
| Huge. |
| Huge I don’t consider wash u that prestigious. |
| Negligible, especially Cornell. The people saying "Huge" have kids at Wake and William & Mary. The avg salary for the 11-25 private schools are all roughly the same (85k). |
| WashU isn't in the same tier as the others. |
| Wash U is more like U of Florida than the Ivies. |
