With his latest tariff decision, it seems like the president is actively trying to ruin Americans’ financial well-being. Why would fundamentalists still support him? |
Because they are fundamentalists. Their priority is not democracy or the well being of others; they are authoritarians who are deluded in their support of an authoritarian. |
Stupid people supporting an even stupider President. Sheer idiots happy to see America destroyed.
We don't have to go to Jonestown any longer. Jonestown came to us. |
They thrive on doing as they are told by those in authority. If they weren't blind followers of authority they wouldn't be fundamentalists, they would be one of the many other denominations that are more tolerant of dissenting opinions. |
This was coming, per Deuteronomy 28:17
Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. You can fly the rainbow flag of shame with the full approval of the govt. and the large, godless members of our society but there will be consequences. “The land shall spew them out. “ We are reaping what we have sown. In Revelation, it says the economy will be so bad, it will take a day’s pay to buy 1 measure of wheat, or 2 measures of barley. These times are coming as people embrace a social justice gospel coddling sinners rather than rebuke and reprove and call people to turn away from sin. |
You should be institutionalized |
The message in some of the conservative groups right now is to keep the faith and that things will be better for Americans in the long run. Anyone who says otherwise gets banned from the group. |
+1 |
Where have you heard this? Is it documented anywhere? |
For pointing out what the Bible says? or for believing it? |
Trump on Truth Social for one. |
Because they are usually pretty gullible, which is why they are fundamentalists / evangelicals voting for Republicans in the first place. |
DP you are bastardizing the scripture. |
No need. This entire country is one big institution at this point. We are all in it. |
+1 DH and I are Christians and we used to attend a church that seemed pretty normal to us. But somewhere during the pandemic the pastor gave a sermon that was very much Christian Nationalism and I remember being shocked and turning to DH and telling him that this wasn't biblically sound. Needless to say, that church became very political just after the 2020 election and beyond. But not now since Trump took office. They are absolutely mum on politics claiming that the "church should be a refuge for all" and telling everyone that they will need to be strong and only trust. I guess if they talked about Trump's politics they would sound like even bigger hypocrites than they are. |
