Bold steps to celebrate the unsung white folk of the Underground railroad. Proud to see Trump making the Underground Railroad more diverse and inclusive.

You must be kidding. Why are you so desperate for white recognition? |
Insanity! Why is MAGA so offended by minorities and women? We have a history of slavery in this country; why are they trying to erase it? So bizarre to me. |

When have white people ever been unsung when it comes to the underground railroad? Obviously white abolitionists, especially the Quakers, played a crucial role in the successes of the underground railroad. I don't think anyone with any real knowledge of history has ever pretended otherwise.
In fact, I think talking about this more is a great thing! A lot of white folks could use a reminder of what real allyship looks like, and what it means to use your privilege to stand for others. |
Is there a shrine to the hundreds of thousands of lives lost fighting to free slaves? |
![]() Nearly every city and many small towns have Civil War memorials to the dead. How about you get off your duff, find the one closest to you, and wander down there to do some weeding and clean it off a bit. I'm sure some of them could use some care. |
But the way are you some new immigrant or just ignorant MAGA that you didn't know this. Maybe both. The worst kind. |
+1. Gettysburg is just over an hour away from here. https://www.nps.gov/gett/index.htm |
I guess you have never been to Gettysburg? |
Um, every single Civil War Memorial in the country. |
Because it takes away the praises of the mediocre white man. |
That's not true. Many of them are shrines to the lvies lost trying to keep the slaves. |

No babe In the Midwest, many towns have "shrines" to the fallen from the community. Most towns paid a huge price with their young men. |
