What’s your bedtime routine for 9 year old?

How long does it take? Are you reading to them or are they reading themselves? Shower or bath? Nightly?

My 9 year old has adhd and is unable to follow instructions on his own at night. So a parent walks him through it all still. He usually goes upstairs around 8 to 830, shower most nights, but some nights its just face washing. Teeth, etc, then he reads to himself. Lights out around 9. Sometimes I will read to him, other times Im folding laundry or reading my own book, but a parent is around by the bedroom those 30 minutes.

Shower is every other day around 6:00pm. Dinner is at 6:30pm. 7:00pm is tutoring every other day and math/reading enrichment every other day. 9:00pm is upstairs to brush teeth while I let the dog out to pee. I tuck them in and we ask Alexa for the word of the day.

Shower is around 7:30, then she can read or play quietly until a bit before 9. At that point she brushes her teeth and I read to her. Lights out is usually 9:30.

start getting ready for bed at 7. I floss her, she waterpiks and brushes, gets in the shower. I blow dry her hair and she gets into bed. 15 minutes of cuddles and light out by 8.

Bath/shower is not every night. At 8pm she goes up and gets changed, brushes teeth, etc., then we each say good night and she asks to read for a bit. 10-15 minute process.

Mine does because she has trouble getting floss between her molars.

My almost 9 year old likes company. So he does it all alone, but would rather us be in the room.
We go up at 8, he showers, brushes teeth, changes and then we read until 8:30ish. He reads in bed till 8:50ish.

My 9 year old goes to bed at 830 or so and reads quietly to himself until he gets tired. He does the entire routine himself.
