Deviled Eggs
trio of dips: Hot Crab Dip, pimento cheese, and spinach artichoke with crackers


Smoked ribs
Grilled Corn on the Cob
Mac + Cheese
Green Beans with Almonds
Rolls with Maple Butter
Mixed salad with berries, goat cheese, sliced almonds + lemon vinaigrette

Dessert:
coconut cream pie with dark chocolate ganache
homemade rice crispie treats

All sounds good, but why smoked ribs? Send kind of messy in church clothes.

Can you find decent corn this time of year?

Seems all over the place. Corn on the cob but also maple rolls? (Summer + winter foods.)

No ham?

Ribs with Easter clothes?

What time of day? Dips seem heavy to me.

Are the rice crispies treats a favorite for the kids? Do them with a twist like pastel M&Ms at least.

Dessert seems random too and not springish.

Agree with everyone else, ribs and corn on the cob are not foods for a formal/religious occasion.

The coconut cream pie sounds delicious and appropriate but you lost me with the chocolate ganache addition.

If you do ham instead of ribs you can keep the Mac and cheese b/c those work together. Maple rolls never really fit, try parkerhouse or cornbread instead.

Asparagus instead of corn on the cob, it’s the springiest vegetable. Either make the coconut cream pie without the ganache, or a coconut cake instead. Fine to keep rice krispy squares for the kids as a PP said but you could maybe make them a bit themed too?

I love coconut cake at Easter.


I do as well. Many make a bunny-shaped or lamb-shaped cake and use coconut as the "fur."

My mother always made a strawberry pavlova for Easter dessert. Really just a meringue with some macerated strawberries on it. It still = "spring" to me.

Seems like a super heavy appetizer with a trio of mayonnaise dips plus the mayonnaise deviled eggs – you might have some guest already in the toilet.

Maybe instead of the dips, you could do a fruit and veggie tray shaped like an Easter egg – the different colors of fruits and veggies become the different stripes on the egg.

This menu is giving 4th of July to me, not Easter. Mainly because of the barbecue and corn-on-the-cob (which is not in season -- it's a very summer thing). And as others have said, bbq ribs are too messy for Easter dresses.

To me, Easter is either leg-of-lamb or a ham or both, deviled eggs (which you have got on there), hot cross buns, candied carrots, asparagus with hollandaise, and dessert of carrot cake, coconut cake in the shape of a lamb or bunny, or a meringue with strawberries and whipped cream.
