AAP Oversight Process

Does anyone know what the AAP oversight process is like? A few weeks ago, AART said DD’s AAP file is going through the oversight process because they missed adding something to her package in the original submission (long story).
Does this mean her file was in the rejection pool and is now getting looked at again? Does this improve her chances or make no difference usually?

I have never heard of this before. This is what it says on the FCPS website:

Oversight Committee
The oversight committee reviews all ineligibility decisions. The committee monitors the consistency of the screening committee and may identify additional students who have profiles similar to the profiles of those found eligible.

So yes, it sounds like your child was found ineligible and then the oversight committee found a problem with the application.

I don't know if it improves her chances, but I would think this means that her packet would get reviewed again. Just speculation. Do you know what was missing from her packet?

Did you have to mention the kissing items? Why did she mention this to you ? Sounds positive.

There is the local steering committee that "completes the HOPE Rating Scale", and then there is the Central Steering Committee that "evaluates all available data using a holistic approach". What additional subjective approach does the Oversight Committee use and towards what objective?
