As season 3 of White Lotus is winding down, I am thrilled that Mike White has really become a hit in Hollywood because I’m still bummed they cancelled Enlightenment (with White and Laura Dern). The other show that I’m sad they cancelled was On Becoming a God in Central Florida. It was so good! Loved Kirsten Dunst.
What shows do you wish they never cancelled? |
Northern Exposure.
Bade Hotellet. Doc Martin. |
American God's on Starz. Such a unique show with twists and storylines (refreshing given how many shows are rather trite). |
ER
NYPD Blue Yellowstone 1883 Schitt’s Creek |
Downward Dog
I'll Fly Away The Indian Doctor How many seasons does a show need to have before it's not "canceled" so much as "ended"? ER ran forever. That they stopped making new episodes doesn't seem like cancelation, just the end of the road. I used to love Law & Order, but I'm not enjoying its return much. Not sure if it's the show or me. |
Schitts Creek
Doc Martin Hacks Working Moms |
I would have loved a resolution for Pushing Daisies. |
Hacks was canceled? |
Me, too! Also: The Kids Are Alright Whiskey Cavalier |
No. It’s coming back soon! |
Parenthood
|
the shows I wish were not canceled because they were not resolved:
Colony Mind Hunter I know there are more, but for some reason, these are the only two that come to mind immediately TV shows that I wished just never stopped airing, even though in some cases they did have a resolution include Schitts Creek Game of Thrones Ted Lasso True Blood Sopranos |
Sopranos
Burn Notice Person of Interest CSI Miami Game of Thrones |
Working moms made me laugh so much, I loved it. |
Ok wait. Can we agree that ‘cancelled’ is different than ‘ended because the story was told, and the series finale was a planned thing that the show runners, writers, producers, etc. had been working toward all along’?
For example, Game of Thrones wasn’t cancelled. It was just time to be done. |
