Wow. It used to be such a nice mall. |
Yeah, doesn’t look like a ‘huge fight’. It looks like a couple of skirmishes with lots of people milling about.
Don’t feed the drama, op |
They closed down the mall. It was a huge fight. |
It never was |
Thank Metro. |
They closed down the mall to control the scene. It’s the easiest way to do it. Watch the videos. I don’t see a single fist thrown. |
It would be a good thing for Arlington if they demolished that mall and built something else. It's so trashy. |
That mall needs to go. Now. |
Take a scroll through X. Lots of video from the scene popping up. |
That's still a nice mall -- I've been there recently. The upper floors are too vacant -- it's been a problem since Covid when a lot of places shut down. But the food court and first two levels are still very nice. It's clean and generally very pleasant to be there. Not as nice as Tysons but nicer than, say, Springfield.
Anywhere that teens congregate in large groups in the evening risks this. It sucks. On the one hand, we need places for teenagers to go. On the other hand, so many teens have major issues that are going unaddressed at home and their hormones and lack of a fully evolved pre-frontal cortex, it's a mess. Teens need strong parenting and limits and a lot of them are emotionally abandoned by their parents and left to figure it all out on their own. Well, this is how teens figure stuff out on their own. |
+1 Another place to avoid now. Very sad. |
It definitely was before the Metro went there. Are you new to the area? DP |
