Who has successfully unloaded their Teslas?

Just curious, as I would be embarrassed AF to drive one in public now. Do you still have yours proudly?? Do you have one with the caveated “I bought it before I knew he was crazy” sticker or are just having trouble unloading it economically? I’m just wondering as it seems I’m seeing more of them now, but I could just be hyper-aware at this point.

I get ads for Ourisman Kia of Bethesda in my FB feed - I guess because I bought a used car, not from there, a few months ago and it’s near my house? - and they have a bunch of of Teslas for sale including a Cybertruck with 3000 miles for less than $80 grand.

I’m curious about this as well. I’m feeling pretty glad that I never got one.

Honestly? I have a Tesla (yes I bought it in 2021), and it’s a great car and I’m not going to sell it to make a statement. You realize that the vast majority- like over 95%- of people you see driving teslas bought them before , say, January 20th when Elon musk started being Donald trumps crazy sidekick. That was 2 months ago. Do you really think it’s a smart move, in this economic and political climate, to dump a perfectly good, relatively new car and purchase a different one to make a statement? Most of us do not have that luxury. Sure, I boycotted chick fil a for a few months like everyone else, but that didn’t cost me tens of thousands of dollars to do. Give it a rest.

Yes hindsight is always 20/20. It wasn’t too long ago that he was sending internet access to Ukraine for free when Russia cut it off, too. And all of that aside, his cars are great, so, I’m not going to cut off my nose to spite my face. I wouldn’t buy a new one right now and help line his pockets, but selling a paid off one that works perfectly well, solely to virtue signal, is frankly stupid.

Elon Musk is the first unelected, not American born president dictator of America. LOL! What a loser country!!

As I see it - As a Tesla owner, why should I be embarrassed of my fabulous car which works perfectly well, IF Americans are not ashamed and embarrassed of being citizens of this undemocratic, dysfunctional and cuckoo (cuckold) country?

This is so stupid. You are making more republicans every day but demonizing normal people who wanted a nice electric car. I'm going to continue to enjoy my car, thank you. And if one of you monsters vandalizes it, I'll vote republican next election just to spite you. This behavior is disgusting.

I am willing to buy your Tesla for 50% off the current value.

I see more Teslas than any other make in Loudoun County. They're a dime a dozen here. No one seems embarrassed.

I am so glad I do not own one but if I did, I would probably not take the huge financial hit to buy a new car especially now with the tariffs. The end of funding for a better network of charging station would hurt too.

I know people buying them to make a statement.

I think what the deranged Tesla haters fail to understand is that some of us buy products on the merits of the product. Teslas are incredibly fun to drive. They never break. They never need oil changes or maintenance. Tesla is 100% American made and employs a lot of people. The whole electric car industry is thanks to Tesla because of their charging network. Whatever you think of Elon, there is much more to Tesla than Elon. As someone who was bullied as a kid, I refuse to be bullied over my car as an adult ffs.

My neighborhood has more Teslas than any other brand of car, ICE or EV, and nobody is selling theirs. A few people recently bought Rivians, which are larger and more expensive; they weren't trying to avoid Teslas, just found the larger size of the Rivian suited their needs better.

Despite the press, this is probably a tempest in a teapot and nowhere near the cataclysmic shift some people are painting it.
