| Thanks to Superintendent Reid for that text message to let me know about the email about the boundary review. That was a super helpful notification about an issue that required my immediate attention. |
Huh? Care to elaborate for the unwashed masses? |
| There is no pleasing some people. Some complain there isn't enough transparency and then complain there is too much transparency. Ridiculous |
The email was fine, the text message telling me about the email was annoying and added no value. |
Agree. And she is nutty - 6th graders in the middle schools? Hell no. No room! |
| email is NOT fine. in every email, each of these "takeaways" include zero substance at all. |
|
I love it when I get a phone call, text, and an email.
I guess skywriting is too expensive for even FCPS. |
I agree. It's over the top. |
|
For the love...
I see complaints about missed emails ALL the time. It takes 30 seconds to delete a text. Enough whining. |
| You can change that setting, OP. This is a you problem. |
| Unsubscribe from texts. Easy peasy. |
|
why can't they put a link to the email in the text??
I always think someone has died when I get a text. |
Let's think about this. What type of emails should warrant a text? -A random school holiday or teacher work day that might be missed -A weather event that impacts school -An EMERGENCY If the boundary review may impact you every now and then go to your emails and search "boundary." Also, get to the point. Some of Reds letters are so full of word salad. |
Not OP, but doesn't that unsubscribe you from ALL texts? Many of us are on text notification for serious emergencies and weather events. There should be an option for just that. |
| Just opt out of all of it- anything important enough will be sent by mail. |
