Don't get me wrong, there are tons of awful swim parents out there. But this so far over the top and would have been witnessed by hundreds of parents. It's also telling that they haven't come back to answer any questions.

A parent shouting "don't let that a**hole kid beat you!! Don't you dare let that a**hole kid beat you!!" goes so far beyond the scope of what'd you see at a meet.

It's the art of trolling, take something based on reality and then exaggerate it.

Actually I've seen parents act like that at swim meets around here.

When I managed a soccer team, two parents on our team had a screaming match at each other. The other team was looking at us like we were the absolute worst, which we were. I couldn't get my kid and myself away from that team fast enough. That thread's scenario is absolutely credible.

Same thing at volleyball games with my kid. Parents making loud noises and distracting comments when the opposing team was serving the ball. It nearly came to a fist fight once (two dads).
