It looks like a high school art student's best work-- not like a portrait by an accomplished artist. Either it was intentional, or the artist isn't very good.

It's actually quite flattering. His hair is tough to work with, and it looks like she did the best she could with that travesty of nature. She gave him a healthy skin tone instead of his favored orange clown makeup. He should be complimenting her.
